Plagiarism

Plagiarism is when someone copies someone else’s own hard work without giving the person credit. Plagiarism is copying word for word on someone’s website. It is still plagiarism if you copy the work, then delete some of the words and put your own in. A way to not plagiarize is to put quotations on what someone has said, then after you put the name of the author who wrote the quote. Plagiarism is also a very serious crime when you are working for a newspaper company, you could get in serious trouble or fired from your job. You can avoid plagiarism by looking at the website and after you get an idea of what to do is to close the website after so you aren’t tempted to look back at it. This will improve on how you write other reports and things so that you don’t plagiarize. There are ways to know when you think you are plagiarizing, one way is if you search up a sentence that you wrote and it is what someone else wrote you should change it. Double-checking your work is very important, but you don’t have to search up everything, just to sentences you think would be.
